Required
The bypass layer — allows the DMA card to emulate legitimate hardware so it goes undetected by anti-cheat systems.
Different firmware levels target different anti-cheat systems (EAC, BE, Vanguard)
Must be flashed to the card before installation in the gaming PC
Firmware spoofs device ID, serial, and PCIe subsystem values
Using outdated or generic firmware is the most common cause of detection

Disable Secure Boot
Secure Boot validates driver and bootloader signatures at startup. It can reject the DMA card's firmware and prevent the card from being recognized.

Safety & Best Practices
How to protect your hardware and reduce detection risk

Never use the DMA killswitch while your PC is running
Toggling the killswitch while the system is powered on can cause the PC to freeze and fail to boot.
A full BIOS reset will be required to restore normal operation.
Always power the system down completely before touching the killswitch.

Keep firmware up to date
Anti-cheat systems are updated regularly. Outdated firmware is the most common cause of detection — reflash your DMA card whenever a firmware update is available.

Never run the software on your gaming PC
The entire point of DMA is that the software stays off the monitored machine. Installing or running any part of the cheat on your gaming PC will result in a ban.

Do not stream or record with the overlay visible
A fuser injects directly into the display signal — capture cards will pick it up. With Moonlight/Sunshine, the overlay renders on the second PC's screen and won't appear in game captures, but the Moonlight window itself would be recorded if you stream from the second PC. Disable the overlay before going live regardless of your setup.

Disable antivirus on the second PC
Antivirus software may flag or quarantine the cheat software on your second PC. At minimum, add an exclusion for the software directory. The second PC has no anti-cheat — AV is the only concern there.

Don't remove the DMA card while powered on
Hot-removing a PCIe card can cause immediate system instability and potential damage to the motherboard PCIe slot. Always fully power down before installing or removing the card.

Update the KMBOX firmware regularly
Aim devices are also subject to detection. Keep your KMBOX or MAKCU firmware on the latest version provided by the vendor, and replace the device if it has been flagged.

Only use trusted firmware sources
Never flash firmware from unknown sources — malicious firmware can leak your hardware identifiers or brick the card. Only use firmware provided directly by PLIQUE DMA or our verified partner 0xdma.com.

Keep the software on the second PC updated
Game updates frequently change memory offsets. Running an outdated software version after a game patch will result in broken or no features until the update is applied.
